Ms. Julia Cox
Research Professional, UGA Geology
Julie worked as a graduate teaching assistant for what is now the IFP during 1992-94. Since coming back to the Geology Department in 2002, she once again became involved with the program. These days she coordinates the IFP and enjoys getting out of the lab to explore the West and discover new ideas with a fresh group of students every summer.
Dr. Geoff Kelley
Instructor, Sociology & Anthropology
Georgia Southern University
Dr. John Kominoski
Assistant Professor, Department of Biological Sciences
Florida International University, Miami, FL
Dr. Kominoski is an ecologist with 10 years of experience teaching on the IFP. He joined the IFP in 2006 as a graduate student instructor, and he has remained instructor of record of ecology since 2007. John’s favorite aspect of the IFP is that it is always a unique, distinct experience year-to-year because of new people, places, and observations.
Dr. Jennifer Jo Thompson
Assistant Research Scientist, UGA Crop & Soil Sciences
Jenn Thompson joined IFP in 2014 to teach anthropology. Despite having been to many of the sites before, Jenn was excited to experience them once again — this time thinking about them as places with geologic, ecologic, and cultural significance. Jenn’s favorite thing about IFP is knowing that students are having the trip of a lifetime.
